the Desk of John SchmittAutumn has given way to winter, the lights are twinkling in the downtown and the frigid temperatures have made us chase down our scarves. As we move into the holiday season though, we are all reminded that we are challenged as a nation, state and community. Joblessness continues to rise, families continue to struggle and businesses are fighting through the season. At the Chamber, we remain thankful for your Membership, but also want to remind everyone that we can help each other through these days...

 2010 Inaugural Gala and Silent AuctionThe 2010 Inaugural Gala and Silent Auction invitations have been sent, so check your mailbox! Tickets are going fast, so reserve yours today!
Members have several opportunities to be involved with the Gala. If you are unable to attend, you can still get your business out there by advertising and/or donating to the Silent Auction. Advertising in the program booklet is available to all Members ranging from $150 for a quarter page ad to $600 for a full page ad. All ads are due by December 28, 2009. Donations to the Silent Auction are currently being accepted. Businesses are welcome to donate items to be used by businesses or individuals. Any size items can be donated and may be packaged with complimenting items. Donors will be named in the program book and on a sign near the item.

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the official launch of its newest initiative, the Green Leadership Council (GLC), on Monday, January 11, 2010.
