The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce has launched a new website at www.naperville.net. After eighteen months of focus groups, individual conversations and substantial feedback from Members, redesigning the Chamber’s website proved to be the answer to the challenges Members faced when using the previous site. The goal for the new site is to enhance the user’s experience through greater functionality with an improved look and feel. [Read more]

The “Lifetime Achievement Award” is given to someone who has shown excellence in their profession, who has supported business and who has given above and beyond to our community. This year’s winner is certainly worthy. I met Ray Jones, owner of Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, in 1980. Being best friends with my employer, Carmen DiGiovine, Ray always came into our office with a warm smile. I would joke that I loved seeing him, but not at his place of business. I once mentioned how difficult Ray’s profession must be. I’ll never forget Carmen’s response when he said, “Ray is a special person and that is the reason he is so good at his job. His compassion and caring nature make him the perfect person to help those through the most difficult times of their lives.” [Read more] |

Kraft Foods celebrates 41st anniversary On Thursday, July 2nd, Kraft Foods held a 41st Anniversary celebration at their Naperville site led by Rodney Mosley, General Manager of Kraft Foods. "Naperville has been fortunate to have Kraft provide hundreds of quality jobs in our community for the past four decades,” said Chamber President & CEO, John Schmitt. “The plant has been a quiet, but outstanding member of our community, and the Chamber is proud to have had them as a Member for the past 41 years and looks forward to celebrating their 80th anniversary!” [Read more] |
